Squamish Arts Council Member Grants: SACFund 2011/2012
Squamish Arts Council is very pleased to announce that SAC has received $10,000.00 from the District of Squamish for the 2nd annual SACFund Arts & Culture Grant Program.
Squamish Arts Council invites all local arts & culture organizations to apply for SACFund for the purpose of promoting and expanding the arts in our community with arts and culture projects comparable to the goals and mandate of SAC.
Applicants are encouraged to bring forward projects that might not happen without SACFund support. Please be sure your SAC membership is current prior to submitting the grant application. Applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2012.
All of the SACFund 2010/2011 grant applicants received funding, and 6 of the 7 groups received the full amount that they applied for. Recipients of the SACFund 2010/2011 grants include: Howe Sound Performing Arts Association, Squamish International Folk Dancers, Between Shifts Theatre, Squamish Writers Group, Squamish Days Loggers Sports Assoc., SERF, Visuals.
Squamish Arts Council is the umbrella arts organization which represents over 35 diverse arts, culture and heritage groups currently active in Squamish. SAC plays a critical role in helping Squamish evolve into a world-class model for environmental and economic sustainability, beauty and liveability.
