Squamish Arts Council Municipal All Candidates Meeting on Arts, Culture & Heritage

Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 6:30 - 9:00 pm

Squamish Arts Council Building, 37950 Cleveland  (in the park)

Squamish Arts Council is hosting the 2nd Municipal All Candidates Meeting on Arts, Culture and Heritage.   First one took place during Election 2008.   It's our responsibility to keep arts and culture on the election agenda.  We are calling on all candidates to articulate their vision, priorities, past involvement as well as plans for the future with respect to the arts.

We are interested to learn about the candidates understanding of the rapidly evolving global Arts & Culture industry, and how they see it fitting into a sustainable Squamish.  We are also interested to understand how the candidates will support and strengthen the arts & culture initiatives and infrastructure that have been established  in our community to date.

There will be opportunity for attendees to ask the candidates brief arts and culture related questions.

Clearly understand their position, to help you determine how their views may affect the future development of Squamish, before you cast your ballot at the municipal election.

All artists, arts culture and heritage organizations, and supporters of the arts are invited to attend.
